Jasmine Aikey, a senior on the Stanford Cardinal women’s soccer team, has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week after contributing two goals and two assists in an 8-2 win over Cal. The victory secured the ACC regular-season title for Stanford.
This is Aikey’s fifth conference weekly honor in her career and her second this season, following a previous selection on October 14. She was also recognized as Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week during both the 2022 and 2023 seasons and earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors on September 17, 2024.
Aikey scored in the 26th minute against Cal and added a free-kick goal in the 61st minute. Her first goal was the game-winner. Over the current season, she has registered at least one point in 13 out of Stanford’s first 17 matches, scored in five of her last eight games, and has found the net in ten contests overall. She has recorded three braces this season and six multi-goal games during her collegiate career.
“Having scored a pair of goals with two assists to help Stanford to an 8-2 victory at Cal that clinched the ACC regular-season title, senior Jasmine Aikey has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week.”
Pitt’s Abby Reisz received Defensive Player of the Week recognition.
By finishing at the top of the ACC standings, Stanford secured a first-round bye for the ACC Championship. The team will play next on Thursday, November 6 against either Virginia or Florida State in a semifinal match held in Cary, North Carolina.
