Four members of the Stanford women’s lacrosse team were named to the Inside Lacrosse Division I Women’s Midseason Media All-American list, according to an April 1 announcement. Kate Bellissimo was selected for the First Team, Aliya Polisky earned a spot on the Second Team, and Annabel Frist and Mallory Hasselbeck received honorable mention honors.
The recognition highlights strong individual performances during the current season. These accolades reflect both new milestones and continued success for several Cardinal athletes.
Bellissimo achieved her first career All-American selection after what has been described as a historic season. She previously made the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) All-Tournament team in 2025 and was recently included on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. Bellissimo leads her team in ground balls with 32 and caused turnovers with 24 this season, breaking a nearly 26-year-old program record by causing eight turnovers in one game against Duke. She is now tied for thirteenth all-time at Stanford with 57 career caused turnovers.
Polisky’s inclusion on the Second Team follows a campaign where she leads Stanford with 29 goals and has recorded three or more points in eight games so far this year. With six regular season games left, she is one assist away from matching her single-season best and just one point shy of reaching 200 career points. Polisky currently ranks fourth all-time at Stanford in points (199), third in goals (147), and just outside the top ten for assists (52).
Frist returned to the All-American list following a comeback fifth-year season as a two-way midfielder, contributing both offensively and defensively with a stat line of fourteen goals, five assists, nineteen points, thirteen ground balls, thirteen caused turnovers, and forty-five draw controls this year. She is close to tying Stanford’s program record for career draw controls.
Hasselbeck joined Stanford in 2026 and earned her first collegiate All-America honor as an Honorable Mention after achieving personal bests of twenty goals, twenty-one assists, and forty-one points over twelve games played this season.
Stanford’s next match will be against Louisville on Saturday, April 4 at Cagan Stadium.
