As the NFL regular season moves into December, the playoff landscape is becoming clearer. According to Stanford University, ten former Stanford Cardinal football players are currently on teams holding playoff positions, while four others are on teams still in contention for a spot.
In Week 13 of the NFL season, several games featured contributions from these Stanford alumni. Notably, Christian McCaffrey continues to have a standout year. At his team’s bye week, McCaffrey has accumulated a league-leading 1,655 scrimmage yards—849 rushing and 806 receiving. This performance places him among only three players in NFL history with at least 800 rushing yards and 800 receiving yards in a single season.

– Dallas Cowboys defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-28.
– Chicago Bears won against the Philadelphia Eagles 24-15.
– San Francisco 49ers secured a victory over the Cleveland Browns 26-8.
– Jacksonville Jaguars overcame the Tennessee Titans 25-3.

Some former Cardinal did not play in Week 13: Simi Fehoko (Arizona Cardinals), Tanner McKee (Philadelphia Eagles), Davis Mills (Houston Texans), and Foster Sarell (Los Angeles Chargers).
