Elia Rubin was selected in the fourth round of the Major League Volleyball (MLV) Draft by the San Diego Mojo, becoming the third Stanford Cardinal player to be chosen in this league. The draft took place on Monday, with Rubin being picked second in her round and 26th overall.

Rubin, an outside hitter from Santa Monica, follows former Stanford players Kendall Kipp and Elena Oglivie into the MLV. Kipp was selected by Columbus Fury in 2023 as the first pick of the third round, while Oglivie joined Grand Rapids Rise in 2024 as the fifth pick of the fourth round. The league was previously known as the Pro Volleyball Federation.

During her collegiate career, Rubin achieved significant milestones. She is a two-time AVCA All-American, earning first team honors in 2024, and has been named to all-conference teams three times. She set a school record for career aces during rally-scoring play with a total of 145. Rubin was also recognized as a semifinalist for AVCA Player of the Year.

In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Rubin majors in science, technology and society at Stanford. She has been acknowledged as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American and is a three-time conference all-academic honoree. In 2024, she received recognition as ACC Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year for volleyball.
