Stanford beach volleyball players Kelly Belardi and Avery Jackson were named the American Volleyball Coaches Association/College Beach Volleyball National Pair of the Week and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Pair of the Week, according to a March 31 announcement.
The recognition comes after Belardi, a senior, and Jackson, a sophomore, achieved a perfect record during Stanford’s recent Texas road trip. The pair went undefeated in five matches against top-20-ranked opponents, helping lead their team to several key victories.
Since being paired together on March 13, Belardi and Jackson have compiled a 9-0 record with wins over eight ranked programs. Their performance included clinching match wins for Stanford against No. 12 Louisiana State University (LSU), No. 6 Texas, and No. 16 Florida Atlantic University (FAU). In addition to these achievements, Belardi became the first Stanford student-athlete to reach at least 100 career individual victories following their win over LSU.
This marks the first time in 2026 that Stanford has received both AVCA/CBVB and MPSF weekly honors for its beach volleyball program. It is also only the fourth such selection in program history. The last Cardinal duo to receive these awards was Logan Tusher and Chloe Hoffman on April 14, 2025.
Looking ahead, Stanford will return home for matches against UC Davis at 3 p.m. and Saint Mary’s at 5 p.m. on April 1. Later that week, they will compete in the Best in the West tournament in Laguna Beach from April 3-4 with scheduled matches against Long Beach State, UCLA, USC, and Cal Poly.
